Iran actor, actress cast for ‘Wall Street’

Iran artists Jaleh Sameti and Mohammad Reza Ghaffari has been cast for Iranian film ‘Wall Street’.

The movie will feature actress Jaleh Sameti and actor Mohammad Reza Ghaffari, the director of the film Bahman Kamyar revealed the news to domestic media on Monday, adding the shooting stage will begin in the new few days.

Some crew members confirmed to join the project include cinematographer Sajjad Rahimi, make-up artist Mohsen Darsanj and first assistant director Zaynab Nasrollahi.

The social drama narrates the story of a woman named Mehri who inadvertently engages in an unknown event.

Jaleh Sameti studied theater at an art school. In 1993, she began her career with the film ‘DT Means Daughter’ directed by Abolfazl Jalili.

A year later, she appeared in the movie ‘The Violet Plain’ (1994). Her activities also include teaching in acting courses.

Sameti has appeared in several movies, such as 'Sweet Jam' (2001), 'Gilaneh' (2004), 'Rules of the Game' (2006), 'The Sting and the Bee' (2009) and 'Bulletproof' (2011).

She has also taken part in various TV series, including 'The Friendship Agency' (1999) and 'Hotel' (1998).

Sameti was nominated for the Best actress in a Supporting Role award for her appearance in ‘When did you See Sahar Last?’ (2015) at the 34th edition of Fajr Film Festival.

Mohammad Reza Ghaffari is a young prolific actor with film credits including Snow (2014) and Aba Jan (2017).
